Join the Childplace BEE (Birthday Extra Encouragement) Team!

How can you make a young person at Childplace have a great birthday and truly feel special, as everyone should on his/her birthday? Join our BEE Team! Many of the children in our program do not have a significant support system to acknowledge and celebrate their birthday, and we need your help! All you have to do is prepare a birthday card for a child in our program and send it to Childplace. The child will receive the card on his/her birthday. To join the Childplace BEE Team, you need to send an email to lindaw@childplace.org indicating your desire to participate, and you will receive all the necessary information.

The intent of the cards is to make sure a child knows that he/she has numerous people honoring and celebrating his/her birthday. You are not expected to provide a gift--a card only. Childplace provides a gift to every child on his/her birthday. If you would like to put something in the card, please no more than a $1 or $2, or McDonald‚s Gift Certificates make great gifts. This is a great way for an individual, family, or church group to provide extra encouragement to a child on his/her birthday!

Organize a service project team

A constant need at Childplace is campus maintenance and upkeep. Organize a group of friends, co-workers, church members, etc to paint a cottage, landscape an area of our campus, etc. Get your group together and give us a call!

Childplace staff members are present during all volunteer activities. To volunteer or organize a service project, contact Brian Davis at (812) 282-8248.
